TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2026 – Short Information
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released Notification No. 11/2026 for the Combined Civil Services Examination-IV (Group IV Services) with 6,574 tentative vacancies across 46 post entries, including Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Typist, Bill Collector and Forest Watcher. Candidates with SSLC (10th) or the higher qualification required for a post can apply online from 6 October to 5 November 2026 (11:59 PM). The OMR exam is on 10 January 2027. This is one of the biggest state Sarkari Naukri openings of the year.

Eligibility / Educational Qualification
- Minimum: SSLC (10th) pass or equivalent, held on the date of notification (6 October 2026).
- Typist / Steno-Typist: SSLC + Government Technical Examination in Typewriting (and Shorthand for Steno-Typist) as specified.
- Forest Guard / Forest Watcher: additional physical standards; Forest Guard with Driving Licence needs a valid licence.
- Knowledge of Tamil is required as per the notification.

Part A requires at least 40% (60 marks) to qualify; only then is Part B evaluated. Minimum qualifying marks for selection: 90 out of 300. There is no negative marking.

How to Apply Online
- Visit tnpsc.gov.in and go to the online application portal.
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) with Aadhaar if not already done (₹150).
- Log in, select Notification 11/2026 (Group IV) and fill in the details.
- Upload photograph and signature, choose exam centre.
- Pay ₹100 exam fee (unless exempt) and submit by 5 November 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Print the application. Use the correction window (9–11 November) if needed.
