Eligibility / Qualification
- Degree: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Matriculation with Punjabi as one of the subjects (mandatory).
- Proficiency in operating computers (tested in the Computer Proficiency Test).
- Qualification must be held on the closing date, 4 November 2026.
- Disqualification: a person who has married someone with a living spouse, or married again while having a living spouse, is not eligible unless exempted by the High Court under personal law.
- Govt employees must keep a No Objection Certificate from their Head of Office ready.
- All applicants must undertake to work anywhere in Punjab.

Selection Process
- Online Written Exam (Computer Based Test) – 100 marks; final merit is based only on CBT marks. Full pattern: Punjab Court Clerk Syllabus 2026.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) – qualifying only: Part I Spreadsheet Test (10 marks, 10 minutes, minimum 4 marks); Part II English Typing at 30 WPM (checked only if Part I is cleared). Speed = (words typed – mistakes) ÷ 10.
- Checking of original testimonials / interaction.
- Select list strictly on CBT merit; ties broken by older age, then alphabetical order.
Certain PwBD candidates can apply for CPT exemption with disability and medical certificates within 15 days of the CBT result. No TA/DA for any stage.
